Dear Mr. Hoobler My son, Russell, and I enjoyed your visit to Beach Elementary School last Wednesday. Russell was the little boy who asked whether your chalk was soft. Your presentation was geared very well towards the kindergardeners. Russell enjoyed the story of a desert turtle wanting to swim in the ocean. I know he loved watching you draw an original picture for his class. Russell came home and illustrated his own book about airplanes. He said he was an "author and illustrator". I said, "You are an illustrator, but not an author yet." Your story about Zonk inspired imagination and your art is wonderfully colorful and whimsical.
