The Vaquita is the smallest porpoise in the world, getting to only about 4' in length. They live only in the
northern portion of the Gulf of California and are the most endangered sea mammal in the world. At the
time that I wrote Zonk & the Secret Lagoon scientists believed there were approximately 500 Vaquita
left, now that number is 150. Extinction is pressing and the situation is critical.
